DDDOT Continues Streetscape and Pedestrian Improvements Several High-Accident Intersections to Receive Upgrades

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is currently facilitating safety improvement projects to several high-accident intersections in the city. The intersections identified represent multiple accident-prone intersections scheduled for pedestrian safety improvements and streetscape upgrades. The intersections include 22nd Street/Q Street/Florida Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Adams Mill Road, NW between 18th Street and Lanier Place, Columbia Road, NW between 18th Street and Euclid Street, Southern Avenue and 13th Street, SE and Naylor Road and Southern Avenue, SE, Bladensburg Road and New York Avenue, NE and 12th Street NE, between Rhode Island and Michigan Avenue NE, along with Monroe Street between 9th and 12th Street NE. Work hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. As always, DDOT reminds pedestrians and motorists to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
