Frequent travelers of Adams Morgan have many things to be excited about as the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has completed major improvements in the area. Currently, DDOT is wrapping up upgrades to the Adams Mill/ Columbia Rd Intersection. The previously existing sidewalk has been replaced with new exposed aggregate and classical Washington Globe lights have been placed in the area. DDOT has also made safety improvements in the intersection so that pedestrians can have a fun and safe experience while traveling through the area at night. Residents and Business Owners have received new traffic signals and other upgrades in the area. Safety Improvements include a reconfiguration of the traffic lights to reduce length of time for pedestrian crossing, additional tree space, and removal of slip lanes to reduce vehicular/pedestrian accidents.
