The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has announced that they will be making safety and aesthetic improvements to the New York Avenue and Bladensburg rd intersection in Northeast DC. Frequent travelers of the area and residents will be relieved to know that traffic signs and lights will be upgraded. Also, there will be additional lighting added to the area and re-pavement of the roadways. DDOT has already begun the process of scoping the worksite and communicating with area residents to develop of a plan of action. DDOT has made a commitment to keeping the public engaged in this process and encourages all concerned parties to call our 24 hour hotline (202-561-3700) for updates.
