DC and Maryland residents who travel on Southern Avenue will be rejoiced to learn that the District Department of Transportation is currently making improvements to two major intersections on the road. The Naylor Rd. and 13th Street intersections of Southern Avenue are now being reconstructed. The intersections will provide drivers with a sigh of relief as the new lay-outs are designed to decrease the risk of pedestrian-vehicular accidents.

The 13th Street Intersection is receiving a new wheel chair ramp and the sidewalks are being improved for easier pedestrian access while the Naylor Road intersection is receiving new sidewalks and a grass median.
